Hannah Elisabeth Perry
Hannah Elisabeth Perry was born on Nov.27, 2005 with severe Cerebral Palsy and Dystonia.
Although her physical abilities were limited, she was a bright and determined child who
put forth great effort to do her best no matter what, and she shared her love and happiness
with everyone wherever she went.
Her smiles and giggles were contagious!
Not only did Hannah love people, but she loved horses as well.
She was ecstatic to ride a horse named “Marshmallow” at SMILES for a couple of years when she was younger.
The hippotherapy that she received there helped her learn how to walk with assistance.
Hannah was constantly moving her legs in a running motion when she was supported in an upright position,
standing in her gait trainer, and even while seated in her wheelchair.
She had the opportunity to complete three Kids Fun Runs with assistance.
She even got to run alongside Cinderella in one of them, and she was giddy about that!
It was magical to see her face beaming with pride every time she crossed the finish line!
In memory of Hannah’s dynamic spirit, determination, and unforgettable giggles as well as to honor her
love for horses and running, we’re holding Hannah’s Giggle Gallop - 5K Run/Walk & Kids Fun Run on
October 4, 2014 at the Jones Pavilion in Riverside Park, Beloit.
This will be a great opportunity for people of all ages and abilities to challenge themselves to find
the determination within to start and finish a 5K.
Proceeds from the run will enhance the lives of people in our community by providing scholarships for
families with special needs children to receive respite from The Dutter House and for Central Christian
Church students to attend the Christ in Youth conference.
We would be delighted to have you join us in celebrating Hannah’s life!
